Silk-screen printing

Printing technique where paint is forced through a silk screen with a squeegee. A photochemical process makes the screen leaky at certain places, achieving the desired effect. In order to obtain a coloured logo, a white base is added, thus attaining a better coverage and saturation of colours. This technique can only be used on flat surfaces. The advantage of silk-screen printing on textile is the softness and longevity of colour on different materials, but only on flat surfaces.
