Corn Backpack backpack

Weight 42 kg

Backpack made from corn waste, PLA material from corn starch. With drawstrings. Capacity approx. 8 litres. The by-product of corn is called PLA. PLA (polylactic acid) is usually made from sugar in corn starch, cassava or sugar cane. PLA is 100% biodegradable and 100% compostable. To make a type of plastic (PLA) from corn, the corn kernels are mixed with sulphur dioxide in hot water, so that all the components in this mixture develop again into starch, proteins and fibres. Yarn is made from the fibres, and a bag can be made from it. The “biobag compostable – made of corn” logo is printed on the bag as standard.
